GARDEN CAMP

We established a 144-person capacity ‘Garden Camp’ for employees in 2022 which provides comfortable and safe accommodation. The accommodation is surrounded by the “Mirror Lake” reservoir and it creates humidity.

Camp facilities include a basketball court, a green area, a fitness space and offices. The construction of eco-friendly infrastructure heating and supplying water to the camp is regarded as a model project development.

IRRIGATION SYSTEM

Metagro successfully implemented a 100 ha pilot irrigation system. The water is pumped from the reservoir at the Garden Camp.

The reservoir is 80m long and 30m wide with a depth of 6m and a capacity of 9,000 m3. We are actively working on expanding the irrigation system.

WINDBREAK

We are aiming to create an 80 km long windbreak across our arable farming fields. To achieve this goal we will plant 20,000 aspen, 1 million elm, 200,000 willow, and 200,000 acacias. The windbreak is currently 20 km long.

We have planted syringa, acacias, Siberian apricot, black alder, Pallas crabapple, blue honeysuckle, rosehip and elderberry in 0.1 ha at the Garden camp. Vegetables, fruits and berries, including cabbage, carrot, turnip, onion, garlic, cucumber, tomato, potatoes, apples, sea buckthorn, blackberries and Tatarian honeysuckle, were cultivated on 0.3 ha for the food supply of our Garden Camp.
